3D Print

LOM Dopolavoro

The project is composed of a series of modular blocks that can be assembled and reassembled according to specific needs.
For this specific location they are arranged to form a seating system, with 4 seats and a small table.
In line with Centauroos objectives, the elements are 3D printed with a unique mix design, composed of up to 30% recycled material, coming from demolition waste.
Each component of the system exploit the potential of 3D Concrete Printing, resulting in elements that combine the strength and resistance of concrete and the material optimisation provided by the technology, in a final product that can withstand weather and abuse, while maintaining a light appearance, ideal for a public space environment.

P-System

The project experiments on assemblage and reconfiguration of 3D Printed modules, that can be assembled according to client needs, where each element can change its function according to position or orientation, from seat to planter to step.
Exemplary for these possibilities, for this project in particular, the elements are configured in two clusters adapting to the landscape. The first forming a linear bench across the pathway curb and the second shaped in a complex seating system bridging the paved and the green space in the open exposition space in front of the furniture shop Amadio Arreda.

Fainplast

The project is composed of modular elements that are assembled to form a continuous bench, to provide resting area in the open space of Fainplast headquarter.
Each element can be assembled in different configurations, combining in the same spatial design, seating elements, flower pots and tables, providing to the whole system vertical variations that give a dynamic appearance of the otherwise simple and regular setup.

Ussita

The project for Ussita provides urban furniture to the local community center, in the area where the temporary settlements are located to host the displacement of the local population from their home caused by the 2016 earthquake.
Also for this project a central role is taken by the circularity of the material used, for the production of simple and bespoke urban furniture recycling material coming from local demolition facilities, to transform rubble with a high emotional value into simple elements that can improve the life of public space of the community.

Piazza Roma

The info Totem located in the central Piazza Roma in Ascoli Piceno is the first investigation made by Centauroos on circularity, exploring the possibility to directly reuse demolition waste coming from the reconstruction operation.
The result is an informative totem showing on a screen the evolution of the reconstruction project of San Domenico, that will inform the citizens about the evolution of such an important project for the post earthquake reconstruction of the city of Ascoli.
In this perfect circular material flow, exploiting the unique technology developed by Centauroos, the very same demolition waste are reused to take the shape of the Totem, the Bench and the Flower pot.
The Totem, combine innovative and bespoke design with a link to the traditional stonework present in the city of Ascoli, resulting in an urban furniture that soon become an integral part of the central square
